Cole County Commission urged to upgrade emergency system, including sirens

With Mid-Missouri in the middle of tornado season, the Cole County Commission is looking into the idea of installing new outdoor warning systems.
During Monday morning’s meeting, Cole County Emergency Coordinator Bill Farr approached the commissioners about the possibility. He explained the Jefferson City is looking into potentially upgrading its outdated outdoor sirens and a possible reverse 911 system.
