JC School Board to consider calendar, policy changes

After discussing it last month, Jefferson City’s Board of Education is set to approve modifications to the original 2011-12 school calendar it approved earlier this year.
The issue? Dealing with weather make-up days when Mother Nature provides more “extras” than planned for.
State law requires Missouri public schools’ district calendars to include six weather make-up days. If bad weather closes schools more than those six, districts must ....
