Please allow me to say something good about the Patient Protection Affordable Care Act.
Health care reform is taking place now. Right now a person with a pre-existing condition, who for six months, has not been able to get insurance, can join a special Missouri health insurance plan.
To find out more about this plan call the Missouri Department of Insurance at 1-800-726-7390 or 573-751-2646. The premium each month will be anywhere from $178 to $780. There are three plans available.
This high-risk insurance pool is being funded by premiums and an $81 million grant to Missouri from the federal government.
This opportunity is available as assistance until 2014 when insurance companies cannot deny access because of pre-existing conditions.
