Drunken driving targeted in prom, graduation season

With prom and graduation season here, law enforcement officials across the state are trying to make sure youth are celebrating safe and sober.
The Jefferson City Police Department will join other law enforcement agencies to crack down on drunk driving today through May 13.
Police Chief Roger Schroeder pointed out it is illegal for someone under 21 to possess or consume alcohol in Missouri, yet youths make up a significant proportion of drunken drivers causing traffic crashes on Missouri roads.
