The Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce’s economic development program, “Transformation,” has action teams that are focusing on a wide variety of topics and projects.

But very few of those action teams hits closer to the chamber’s main purpose than the one focusing on business growth.

Of all the area their action team is considering, Bill Plank and his co-chair, Joe Scheppers, agree that Capitol Avenue is one of the highest priorities. Scheppers explained that, in his estimation, that particular stretch ....

I agree--It is a beautiful street. If the prison redevelopment would ever get going it would spur all kinds of growth on that and surrounding streets
