While pursuing a secondary career, Jefferson City veteran John Gillam has found countless opportunities to serve in positions of increasing responsibility during his 21 years with the Missouri National Guard and Army Reserve.
This service has helped him to forge a trait that he believes every military leader should establish in their own careers - placing the interests of their soldiers before their own.
