On Tuesday, May 17th, the Zonta Club of Jefferson City will host its 12th Annual Women of Achievement Yellow Rose Luncheon themed "Celebration of Mentoring" at 11:30 a.m. in Capitol Plaza Hotel.
The Yellow Rose Luncheon honors Jefferson City women each year for their achievements in the community and raises support to help other local women advance their education. Proceeds from the luncheon fund Zonta's Second Chance Scholarships. To date, more than $162,000.00 has been awarded to women in the Jefferson City area.
The 2011 luncheon will honor 14 nominees, two of whom will be selected by another Zonta Club to receive the 2011 Women of Achievement Awards. This decision is based on the evaluation of the women's accomplishments, community and civic involvement, awards and recognitions.
The Yellow Rose Luncheon features a Women's Expo trade show geared toward women's interests.
