Community impact remains though buildings changed

Jim Wunderlich started to wonder if he would meet his bride on time. Prior to the spring of 1961, Wunderlich had approached the Rev. Walter Niedner, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, to marry his sweetheart Doris.

The pastor asked them to wait to be the first couple married in the congregation’s new location.

Wunderlich has served on a variety of committees and in leadership roles for the last 50 years.

Trinity Lutheran Church and School will celebrate their 50th anniversary today at their present location with worship services at 10 a.m. and a potluck dinner to follow.
