An oncologist, an internal medicine specialist and two family physicians loaded their bags with over the counter medications in January. With a passion to help in their hearts, they headed to the Volta region of Ghana for a medical mission trip.
Drs. Jay Allen, Goldschmidt Cancer Center; Randall Haight, Capital City Medical Associates; Lorrie Campbell, Capital Region Medical Center; and Nina Kiekhaefer, Jefferson City Medical Group, joined forces with two nurses and two non-medical professionals through the Grace Evangelical Free Church to spread good health to more than 3,600 people.
