Second man charged in fatal shooting

A second Jefferson City man is charged in the death of a man who was shot March 12 after a confrontation over a woman earlier that morning.

On Friday, Rondric Hunt, 24, 312 E. Dunklin St., was charged with unlawful use of a weapon by shooting at a vehicle, resulting in the death of Cortez Bellamy, 24.

On Thursday, Terrell Edwards, 28, also was charged with unlawful use of a weapon in this case.

Hunt was taken into custody Friday afternoon by Jefferson City police in the St. Louis area.

Police say Edwards was arrested Wednesday in Kansas City. He is being held without bond in the Cole County Jail.
