CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) — Southeast Missouri State University students from Japan are pitching in to help their home country.
The Southeast Missourian reports that the students have begun a donation drive to help the victims of this month’s earthquake and tsunami. The drive began Monday and had raised $400 by Tuesday morning. The money will go to the Red Cross relief fund for Japan.
Fifty-six students from Japan attend Southeast Missouri State. The students say their families and friends survived the disaster.
