Your Opinion: What happened to democracy?

Dear Editor:
What happened to living in a democracy where the people have a voice, voice their opinion and their elected officials listen?
Prop. B was a statewide issue, the majority of people in this state spoke but 20 of our 34 senators thumbed their noses at us and decided we were wrong.
Democracy? I think not. Everyone should be concerned. If they can do it here, despite intense opposition, they can do it anywhere.
