Cole County approves funds for chamber

The Cole County Commission agreed Monday to give more funds to the Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce after getting an update on efforts to attract or grow more businesses.

Chamber President Randy Allen told the commissioners the chamber spent $3.1 million in economic development efforts from 2007-10.

Missy Bonnot, the chamber’s economic development director, told commissioners there is growth in businesses that already have operations here.
