A community briefing scheduled for 4:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the South Elementary School will give Lake of the Ozarks area residents the opportunity to learn more about the proposed replacement of the bridge that carries Missouri 5 over Soap Creek in Morgan County.
The replacement of the structure is scheduled to begin Monday, May 9, weather permitting, with the closure of Missouri 5 lasting approximately 53 days.
Missouri Department of Transportation engineers say the detour options are long ones.
