Lincoln senior claims one of four D-II titles for Blue Tigers

Bruce repeats as national champ

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Kimour Bruce and Terrel Cotton of Lincoln captured men’s individual titles, while Judith Riley of the Blue Tigers won a women’s championship Saturday at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Bruce won the 60-meter dash (6.62). It’s the second straight 60-meter national title for Bruce, a senior. As a sophomore, he was fourth in the event after taking seventh as a freshman.

Cotton, a junior, captured the crown in the 200-meter dash (20.94), while Riley, a freshman, won the 60-meter dash (7.34).

The Lincoln women also captured a relay title as the team of Michelle Cumberbatch, Nyoka Cole, Yanique Haye and Keniesha Jones won the 4x400-meter crown in 3:41.24.
