20th annual St. Patrick’s parade on Lake of the Ozarks held

Irish eyes were smilin’ as boaters set sail to celebrate

The Tropic Island cruise boat docked at Ozark Bar-B-Que Saturday morning to pick up passengers participating in the water parade. More than 60 people boarded the boat to enjoy a day on the Lake of the Ozarks and the waterfront restaurants.

Boaters set out into the Lake of the Ozarks in decorated boats Saturday to gather with other “green” mariners to commemorate the patron saint of Ireland.

The St. Patrick’s Parade on the Water attracted crowds of partygoers from the Lake Area as well as visitors and second-home owners. The Myers of St. Joseph said they have been coming down for 10 years now to the annual event.
