LEBANON, Mo. - The Linn Wildcats played a stellar first half in their Class 2 sectional contest Wednesday night with Norwood, and they used it to provide all the cushion they would need while holding off a late rally by the Pirates in a 59-54 victory.
Saturday will be the state quarterfinals, as the fifth-ranked Wildcats (22-4) will take on unranked Crane at 1 p.m. at Logan-Rogersville High School. Crane (24-5) advanced with a 56-54 overtime win over Miller.
