ST. LOUIS (AP) - A suburban St. Louis school district has placed a high school teacher on leave after she told administrators she acted in adult films years before going into teaching.
The Parkway School District issued a statement saying the teacher told her school principal Friday about her stint in porn after a student confronted her about it. The district says it granted her request to be placed on paid administrative leave through the end of the school year, and that the teacher previously indicated she did not plan to return to the school in the fall.
The district is not releasing the teacher's name, but multiple media outlets reported she is Parkway North High School science teacher Tera Myers.
Calls to a woman identified by several news outlets as the teacher rang unanswered on Tuesday.
