Nuclear hearing begins this week

Senate to hear testimony on four site permit bills

Those who support the idea of building another Callaway County nuclear power plant - and those who don't - will have a chance to explain their positions at a Missouri Senate hearing Wednesday.

The Veterans' Affairs, Emerging Issues, Pensions and Urban Affairs Committee will meet at 4 p.m. in Senate Committee Room 2, on the river side of the Capitol's first floor.

The Senate staff also is reserving Senate Committee Room 1, next door, so the expected overflow crowd can hear the testimony given to the committee's seven members.
