California falls in final

COLE CAMP, Mo. — Skyline used a big first-half run Saturday night to defeat California 46-32 in the girls title game of the Class 3 District 10 Tournament.

California hit the first two baskets of the game to take a 4-0 lead. But Skyline then went on a 19-1 run that spanned the first and second quarters to take a double-digit lead.

Skyline will take on Hermann in the sectionals Wednesday night at Missouri S&T in Rolla.
