The following recall has been announced:
SWING SETS BY ADVENTURE PLAYSETS
DETAILS: Swing sets imported by Adventure Playsets of Pittsburg, Kan., and sold at sports and discount stores from 2004 to 2007.
WHY: The wood in the posts of the fort sections on the swing sets can weaken due to rotting, posing a fall hazard.
INCIDENTS: Company has received more than 500 complaints reporting concern over the weakened wood in the 2-by-4 plastic-coated uprights. One report of injury.
HOW MANY: About 240,000.
