Gurpreet Sandhu, a native of India who now lives in Jefferson City, recently opened Hot Millions Bistro, 2403 Missouri Blvd., saying it fulfills a dream she had since moving to the United States a decade ago.

I see a new Pay Day Loan place has set up shop on Missouri Boulevard. Can we get a new Mexican Restaurant to go in next door?

Ha. True, true. I never understood how some people can complain about tattoo and sex shops, but stay silent on predatory payday loan shops. Personally, and I may be wrong, but I would posit that payday loans have ruined many more lives than any other legitimate business we have in Jefferson City.

I for one can't wait to try the new Indian place. I love Indian food! Then maybe I'll just see how many new places I can go to without having to get a payday loan. :) Good luck to all those new businesses. (Except the payday loan place - Rison is right on the money, those and title loan places with rates that used to be barred by usery laws, not good.)
