Man arrested after shooting victim seeks treatment

Jefferson City police arrested a 44-year-old local man in connection with a shooting early Sunday morning.

At 12:43 a.m. Sunday, police were called to a local hospital after a 24-year-old Jefferson City man sought treatment for a gunshot wound to his right foot.

Officers got suspect information from the victim and, at about 5 a.m., arrested the suspect. The filing of formal charges with further information is pending.
