Curtis signs with Indians

Matt Curtis recently finished his career with the University of Central Missouri baseball team. But that doesn't mean his baseball career is over.

The former Southern Boone Eagle recently signed a free-agent contract with the Cleveland Indians organization and started his professional career Thursday in the Arizona Fall League.

Curtis, who went 21-2 in 43 appearances with the Mules over four seasons, has been assigned to the AZL Indians in Goodyear, Ariz.
