The following recall has been announced:

HAM

DETAILS: Imported boneless Serrano ham products distributed nationwide by Specialties Agro Alimentation of Millington, N.J., because of possible listeria contamination. The products include Noel Jamon Serrano Boneless Spanish Dry-Cured Ham and Bloc Noel Serrano Ham.

WHY: The ham may be contaminated with listeria, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and others with weakened immune systems. Symptoms may include high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. It may cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.

INCIDENTS: None reported.

HOW MANY: About 5,700 pounds.
