A Jefferson City man was killed in a three-vehicle accident at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. 50, east of Missouri 135, in Morgan County.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol report, a 2005 Chevrolet, driven westbound by Kenneth A. Kerr, 50, Jefferson City, crossed the center line and struck a 2004 Dodge, driven eastbound by Ernest N. Shirk, 32, Latham, head on. A 2004 Chevrolet, driven eastbound by Johnny Penachio, 69, Eldon, was struck by debris from the Kerr and Shirk vehicles.
Kerr was pronounced dead by Morgan County Coroner Maynard Jones.
Shirk was taken to Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia.
Everyone was wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
