First Blues, Brews and Brats on tap this weekend
Friday, June 24, 2011
The second Jefferson City festival district will open its gates Saturday to Blues, Brews and Brats, a live music and food fest in the 100 block of Dunklin Street.
The recently rehabilitated street will host live blues music from three bands and food and beverage vendors with adult and kid-friendly refreshments.
Zesto South, Ecco Lounge, Welcome Inn and other vendors will sell brats, hamburgers, Jamaican Jerk chicken and a true Jefferson City treat — Central Dairy ice cream.
Blues band Baker, Pelzer and Reichart will start the evening off, followed by a wrap-up from Cold Blue and Fender Benders.
The festival begins at 4 p.m. and runs until 9 p.m.
Festival goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to sit and enjoy the live music.
