While Cole County Prosecutor Mark Richardson and his staff decide if they're going to appeal Judge Patricia Joyce's order suppressing some of Alyssa Bustamante's October 2009 interview statements, her lawyers have until next Tuesday to submit their list of witnesses for her murder trial.
Public defenders Donald Catlett and Charles Moreland had argued last month that they could not supply the court with their list of witnesses for the trial - now set to begin Sept. 13 - until Richardson answered questions the defense first asked in November and December 2009.
Richardson told Joyce his office already had given the defense everything it needed.
