Florida man killed in U.S. 54 accident

Five hurt in other area weekend crashes

A 67-year-old Florida man was killed in a two-vehicle wreck in Callaway County early Sunday morning.

Marvin G. Kolar was taken to University Hospital in Columbia, where he was pronounced dead.

The Missouri Highway Patrol said the wreck occurred about 12:41 a.m., as Kolar’s vehicle and a vehicle driven by Shawn A. Brazas, 26, Fulton, were westbound on U.S. 54 at County Road 110. Kolar made a left turn from the right lane and turned in front of Brazas’ vehicle. Brazas was not listed as injured. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
