Stretch of I-29 closed in NW Missouri

Officials have now closed a stretch of Interstate 29 in southwest Iowa and northwest Missouri because of flooding on the Missouri River.

The Iowa Department of Transportation says both the southbound and northbound lanes of I-29 south of Exit 10 at Iowa Highway 2 closed Wednesday afternoon.

The closure runs south to U.S. Highway 136 in Rock Port, Mo., a distance of about 30 miles.

The southbound lanes were closed first, followed by northbound lanes about an hour later.
