Jefferson City's Board of Education will meet Thursday instead of Monday this week.
The seven-member board normally meets at 6 p.m. on the second Monday of the month, but is not locked into that day. This month, the board's agenda will include a discussion of the public school district's operating budget for the business year that begins July 1.
Board Secretary Claudia Borgmeyer said Friday they decided to delay the meeting a few days, to allow more time to assemble a final budget plan with the best numbers available.
A detailed preview of the board's meeting will appear in Wednesday's newspaper.
