Mo. company plans to add 55 jobs

BONNE TERRE, Mo. (AP) - The state has authorized state economic development incentives for a southeastern Missouri manufacturer that plans to add 55 jobs over the next five years.

Missouri has authorized $163,000 in tax credits through the Missouri Quality Jobs program for Valley Minerals in Bonne Terre for the company, which manufactures lime used by the steel industry.

Gov. Jay Nixon highlighted the incentives and planned expansion Tuesday in Bonne Terre.

Valley Minerals uses the manufacturing site that had been home to Missouri Lime. When Missouri Lime went into foreclosure, it was purchased by FTL Capital last September and renamed Valley Minerals.
