SE Missouri authorities suspect foul play in disappearance

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) - Authorities in southeast Missouri said they suspect foul play in the recent disappearance of a 39-year-old woman, and that a person of interest has been located in the case.

Jacque Sue Waller was last seen in Jackson on Wednesday evening. Her car was found abandoned on Interstate 55.

Lt. Rodney Barnes of the Jackson police department said Sunday that the Cape Girardeau/Bollinger County Major Case Squad, which has been investigating the disappearance, has located a person of interest. Barnes did not identify that person.

He also said in a release that police are seeking information from the public about someone seen driving Waller's car late Wednesday afternoon and information about a red pickup truck that may have been hauling a boat in the same area Wednesday.
