Invitation to visit our partner city:
We invite area residents to consider spending a week in Germany including a visit to Muenchberg, our partner city in Germany. Mayor Thomas Fein will no doubt repeat the warm welcome we received four years ago. He has already arranged for a private tour of the Bundestag (the Capitol) in Berlin and a reception at the Bavarian Embassy.
We plan to depart Sept. 10 and spend three days in Berlin, and then stay overnight in Dresden on the way south to Bavaria where Muenchberg is located. We will spend three days there, taking in the sights in town and the beautiful and historic countryside. Several day trips and tours will be arranged. We will be there for Muenchberg's annual shopping festival, "Stadtfest," similar to our sidewalk sale days.
On the way back home we will spend a day traveling through southern Germany along the Romantic Road, including a visit to Rothenberg, "the Walled City." We will return home via Munich on Sept. 20.
