Willer sentenced in fatal 2009 meth lab fire
Saturday, June 4, 2011
Lisa R. Willer, who turned 36 Wednesday, was sentenced Friday to seven years in prison — the maximum sentence available — after she pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter.
Willer and Johnathan Tharp, who will turn 36 next Friday, were charged in 2009 with making methamphetamine on Oct. 7, 2009, in a room at Judy’s Cafe and Hotel on The Square in Linn, across the street from the Osage County Courthouse.
A next-door neighbor — Daniel Mittenburg, 20, Clinton, a Linn State Technical College student — died of smoke inhalation after the mixture caught fire and got out of control.
