St. Elizabeth wants to better last year’s finish in Class 1

The St. Elizabeth baseball team has proven it can play with the weight of the world on its shoulders. Now the Hornets will see if they can perform with a different kind of pressure.

While St. Elizabeth had plenty of expectations coming off a 2010 season in which they reached the Class 1 Final Four, the Hornets took care of business and earned a berth in this year’s Final Four, which starts Wednesday at Meador Park in Springfield.
