Jefferson City school board OKs construction contracts

Jefferson City's Board of Education building is getting an interior facelift this summer, while the two middle school gymnasiums are getting new, quieter and more efficient heating and cooling units.

Jason Hoffman, the district's chief financial officer, noted the Board of Education building began as an elementary school in 1919, "and has had very little renovation since then."
