Jays former head coach Cole back to pump up defense

No matter how much things change over the years, some things remain the same. Ron Cole knows that all too well. It’s been a decade since the former Jefferson City head coach retired, but he’s returned to the sideline, taking over as defensive coordinator for the Jays.

It’s a position he’s very familiar with, as he helped the Jays win nine state titles as defensive coordinator from 1975-1994 under then-coach Pete Adkins. And even though it’s been 10 years since calling his last play in from the sidelines, things don’t seem any different this time around.
