Music to their ears: Eagle Scout collecting instruments for Joplin schools

Thanks to a music loving Boy Scout and generous area residents, the sound of music will be returning to Joplin schools affected by the May 22 tornado.

After seeing photographs of the damaged schools and music departments, Andrew Decker, a Boy Scout from Webb City, a neighboring city to Joplin, took it upon himself to try and collect as many instruments as possible for the Joplin High School and middle school marching bands and orchestra.
