Adeline Thessen raised her steer from a small calf and knew it would be hard to say that final goodbye.

Thessen, 9, said her steer, Leroy, was born March 13, 2010, and she’s been preparing him for the Cole County Fair 4-H and FFA Market Livestock Auction since then.
