Cole County 4-H public speaking contest

Five participants in the Cole County 4-H public speaking event were selected to participate in the state 4-H public speaking contest on Sept. 25 at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Tyler Temmen, Eager Elves 4-H Club, received first place in intermediate extemporaneous speaking. Ashley Temmen, Eager Elves 4-H Club, won first place in senior extemporaneous speaking. In intermediate prepared speech, Claire Ludwig, Jefferson City 4-H Club, placed first and Kelly Rakow, Stringtown Corinth 4-H Club, placed second. Trent Ludwig, Jefferson City 4-H Club, won first place in senior prepared speech.
