Retirement was the beginning of a new engagement for the white, black and red Jay Band uniforms.
The 205 marching band uniforms traveled with the elite ensemble from Jefferson City High School to years of marching band competitions and Heritage Festival contests, not to mention the weekly football game shows.
The Jay Band and its boosters may have purchased new uniforms, but the experienced uniforms have not seen the end of competition — or of Jefferson City musicians.
