Back-to-school shoppers can save some extra cash if they take advantage of Missouri's annual sales tax holiday on the weekend of Aug. 5-7.
During the annual back-to-school sales tax holiday, the state's 4.225 percent sales tax will not be collected throughout the state on clothes, computers and school supplies.
Jefferson City and Cole County are among the local governments that have elected not to participate and will continue to collect local sales taxes on those days.
