But as the Monday morning traffic continued speeding past on Missouri 179, officials from the state, Jefferson City, Cole County and St. Mary’s Health Center officials formally broke ground for a new diamond interchange to connect the highway with a yet-to-be-built “Mission Drive” and new hospital.
