For its fourth installment of “Short Attention Span Theatre,” Scene One Theatre will present 32 characters performed by 22 actors under the guidance of nine directors in 11 plays written by 10 local playwrights.

Veteran actors, as well as some new faces, will appear in “Short Attention Span Theatre: The Picnic Table.” The actors will perform 10-minute long plays in theatre-in-the-round style with a picnic table in the center and the audience seated around the room. The plays cover all different genres from mystery to comedy to drama, explained director Mark Wegman.

The performances will run July 15-16 and 21-23 at Scene One Theater at 121 E. High St., below Hallmark in downtown Jefferson City. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $10 with special half-price tickets for July 21. To reserve seats, call (573) 681-9199.
