Mo. woman pleads to fraud charges

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) - A 46-year-old southwest Missouri woman has pleaded guilty to federal charges of mail fraud and filing false tax returns.

The office of the U.S. attorney for the Western District of Missouri said in a release Wednesday that Diana Kay Erickson pleaded guilty in federal court in Springfield.

The office said Erickson, a bookkeeper, admitted that she embezzled $219,606 from Superior Lifts, Inc., between 2006 and 2008, and that she embezzled $34,242 from Goolsby Rental Properties in 2006.

The prosecutor's office said Erickson also admitted that she filed false U.S. Individual Tax Returns for tax years 2006, 2007 and 2008.

Sentencing has not been scheduled.
