ALTON, Ill. (AP) — Illinois State Police are investigating the death of a 52-year-old bicyclist from Missouri who was struck by a car.
Jennifer Wray Cole of St. Louis was riding her bike in Jersey County, Illinois, when she was struck by a car. That's according to a release from Illinois State Police.
The accident occurred around 12:15 p.m. on Saturday.
Authorities say Cole was thrown from her bicycle.
She was taken to Jersey Community Hospital and pronounced dead.
