Missouri American seeks water rate increase
Friday, July 1, 2011
Citing its “ongoing investment in water system improvements and the increasing costs of delivering high-quality, reliable service to customers,” Missouri American Water Co. on Thursday asked the state Public Service Commission to approve an “approximately $43 million” rate increase.
The request seeks to raise Jefferson City area customers’ bills by approximately $4.16 per month for an average residential customer using 4,000 gallons of water per month, to about $31.50.
