Parochial students celebrating Catholic Schools Week
Monday, January 31, 2011
Lots of thank-you’s, service and fun will fill the halls of local Catholic schools this week as they celebrate “Catholic Schools: A+ for America” through Saturday.
Special Mass will be celebrated, special dress days offer a day out of normal dress codes and uniforms, and the tradition of recognizing outstanding alumni continues.
“The theme celebrates the fact that Catholic schools are an added value for our nation and community,” said Heather Schrimpf, assistant principal at Immaculate Conception School. “With high academic standards grounded in strong moral values, Catholic schools and their graduates make a significant contribution to American society.”
