Ann Ingalls will interact with kids on Wednesday

A love for writing and the desire to learn more about the world of jazz led author Ann Ingalls to write “The Little Piano Girl: The Story of Mary Williams, Jazz Legend.”

Ingalls — a children’s author who has been published by the Kansas City Star, Highlights, High Five and more — will give an interactive presentation for children in Jefferson City from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday in the Missouri River Regional Library art gallery.

Ingalls estimated she hosted more than 50 of the sessions last year that cover the book. Ingalls has written books on a variety of subjects and people.
